The radiator in the model was not a huge task as you can see in the blog the use of CNC makes it easy .Ít may be possible to find an old radiator,if not you would need to have access to a 22 to measure and make drawings of the top and bottom tanks also the side frames. If you have access to a firm with laser cutting you could have all the pieces cut out of plate steel. These could then be welded together and shaped with an angle grinder. The caterpillar and twenty two logos can be cut of sheet steel on band saw or jewellers saw finished with a file. These can then be rivetted in position. The feasability of this project depends on your access to resouces experience and time.
Mate very impressive job.
ReplyDeleteHow much work involved in the radiator ?
I am looking at making a larger scale radiator (eg Twenty Two) and use it as a display cabinet).
